In the not-so-distant future, South Africa becomes ground zero for an otherworldly invasion. An immense alien mothership ominously looms in the sky, unleashing a relentless assault on humanity. As cities crumble and chaos ensues, the human race fights back with unwavering determination. Despite their advanced technology, the alien machines are unable to conquer the indomitable human spirit.

Recognizing the futility of their efforts, the alien forces resort to a deceptive strategy. They begin to shapeshift into human form, infiltrating the remaining communities to sow seeds of distrust and division. South Africa, a nation of diverse cultures, tribes, and religions, becomes their prime target for exploitation.

In the midst of the turmoil, Damian and Nelly, twins with a bond that transcends adversity, find themselves torn apart. Separated during the initial onslaught, they endure three long years of solitude, each believing the other to be lost. The game unfolds as players experience Damian and Nelly's parallel journeys, both driven by the desire to reunite with their twin and ignite the spark of unity among the survivors.
